Deir ez-Zor team won first place in the republic’s championship ball for the blind, which was held by the Special Sports Federation in Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia.
Deir ez-Zor team won the title after topping the first group and winning the semi-final against Damascus with eight goals to two goals and the Hama team in the final match with nine goals to five.
Head of the Technical Committee for Sports in Latakia Ammar Al-Sheikh explained to SANA reporter that the tournament was successful, its competitions are strong, and its return after a break since 2019 is considered an achievement and success for the game, pointing out that there are upcoming local championships to reach an integrated team participating in Arab and Asian championships.
It is noteworthy that the participating teams were divided into two groups, the first of which included Lattakia, Deir ez-Zor, Homs, Al-Basel Club, and the second, Al-Raqqa, Hama and Damascus.
