By going to the sports complex managed by the brother of Zinédine Zidane, was Éric Zemmour looking for the buzz?

Campaigning in the Bouches-du-Rhône, the far-right candidate, accompanied by a few activists including the media Jean Messiha and Stéphane Ravier, had planned to play a game of futsal (indoor football) in Aix-en-Provence .

The place is not trivial: the small group went to Z5, a sports complex managed by Noureddine Zidane, brother of the former French footballer.

A team of journalists and cameras followed his movements for the day: apart from the football game, this Saturday's program included a visit to an illegal market in Plan-de-Cuques, or even a meeting with an owner victim of a squat in a Marseille city.

“We had to put on shorts, we had shorts cut”

Éric Zemmour had put on his football shirt and started playing when Noureddine Zidane and two or three people arrived to interrupt the game after two or three minutes.

"Please come out, it's private here, there's a picture," he demanded.

The presidential candidate reacted by launching: “We do not have the right to play at home, everything is said.

Renting the room for two hours cost the team 160 euros.

“We will reimburse you, but leave,” asked the manager.

Noureddine Zidane criticizes the candidate for not having been transparent about his intentions: the team, which reserved the room on behalf of one of the activists, did not inform Z5 that it was a campaign trip by Éric Zemmour, filmed by the media.

Éric Zemmour's team cries out against discrimination.

"We had to put on shorts, we had shorts cut," quips Jean Messiha.
