Dozens of people who arrived this evening (Saturday) in the Nablus Gate area of Jerusalem and began throwing bottles, stones and objects at police officers.
Some of the protesters set fire to a tin near the area.
The police operated among demonstrators with visible and covered policemen, and as a result of its operation were arrested four sections on suspicion of throwing objects.
Police said more arrests of suspects documented as throwing objects are expected later.

The police issued a statement saying that "while Israeli police officers are working to allow many to mark the month of Ramadan and reach the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount safely, on the first day of Ramadan, riots began in the evening accompanied by shouts of incitement."
The statement added that "anyone who chooses to disturb the order, riot and use violence of any kind - harms first and foremost a large public of worshipers, merchants and critics, the vast majority of whom want to celebrate Ramadan in peace and security, while maintaining freedom of worship.
