US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan expressed his belief in the need to continue dialogue between Moscow and Washington on security issues and weapons of mass destruction.
"I think it is important that the United States and Russia continue to discuss all issues related to security, including weapons of mass destruction, that both countries have," Sullivan was quoted as saying by Interfax news agency today.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated last month that the dialogue between Moscow and Washington on strategic stability, security and other important issues does not serve the interests of the two countries only, but also the interests of the whole world, so sooner or later the two countries will be forced to sit at the dialogue table.
It is noteworthy that the Russian-American relations have been witnessing a deterioration in the recent period due to the policies pursued by the US administration, including unilateral sanctions and attempts to dominate.
