After beating 1. FC Köln, the pros at 1. FC Union Berlin are already looking forward to next week's derby in the capital.

"Of course," said defense chief Robin Knoche.

The 29-year-old, who has only been playing for the Irons since summer 2020 and extended his contract on Friday before the 1-0 win against Cologne, emphasized with regard to the game in the Bundesliga at Hertha BSC:

Berlin - "This year we showed who is number one in Berlin.

We want to keep it that way.”

Union had won the first leg in the An der Alten Försterei stadium 2-0, and there was also a 3-2 draw in the DFB Cup round of 16 in the Olympic Stadium.

In the table, the Köpenickers are also well ahead of their West Berlin rivals.

"I do believe that we can still achieve a lot this season," emphasized Knoche.

"We have a program that is feasible." dpa
