Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan did not attend Prince Philip's memorial service out of concern for their safety.

This does not apply to other major events.

Montecito – Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) are currently receiving a lot of criticism, especially from the British media.

They still resent the couple for staying away from Prince Philip's (99, † 2021) memorial service.

While all the high-ranking royals of the British royal family had gathered in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, Prince Harry and his wife had already canceled their participation in advance.

A large part of the European nobility had also traveled to London to commemorate Queen Elizabeth's (95) husband.

This circumstance annoys many Britons, especially since the 37-year-old is a grandson of the deceased and has been living in the United States for almost two years.

Certainly some of his compatriots would have been happy to see the popular redhead back in his home country with his family.

The last time they saw him was at the unveiling of the Diana memorial statue in July 2021, which he attended alongside his brother, Prince William, 39.

But after some back and forth, Meghan and Harry finally decided not to come to Prince Philip's memorial service.

The couple justified their rejection by saying that they did not feel safe in Great Britain.

Although Prince Harry had offered to pay for the additional costs of police and security protection himself, the Queen refused.

Apparently, that doesn't stop the ducal couple from continuing to go to major events.

Meghan and Harry: Ex-Spice-Girl chats away

Accordingly, it is said to have been invited to the Beckham wedding in Florida in the spring.

The eldest offspring of Victoria (47) and David Beckham (46), Brooklyn Beckham (24), will marry his great love, the US billionaire's daughter Nicola Peltz (27), on April 9th.

It's supposed to be the huge social event to which everyone of rank and fame is invited.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan could also be among the guests, at least if you believe Victoria's former band member, Ex-Spice Girl Mel B (46).

She has now chatted out of the box during an appearance on the TV show "Lorraine".

And there might even be some truth to the speculation: After all, the Sussexes and the Beckhams have been close friends for years.

The latter were also present at the ex-Royals' dream wedding in May 2018.

Since they have been living in the USA, the contact between the couples has become even closer.

Meghan and Harry: How will the Queen react?

British compatriots and royals will surely be "not amused" to learn that Meghan and Harry are attending the Beckham wedding after avoiding Prince Philip's memorial service.

But his biographer, Angela Levin, believes the prince has long since given a damn about what the British people think of him.

"He's so angry and he's just like, 'Me, me, me,'" she told Britain's The Sun.

"He's no longer interested in other things, except when they concern him or Meghan," she concludes.
