The Cirque d'Hiver, favorite room for many meetings of the PS… In March 2012, the candidate François Hollande, then big favorite in the first round, gathered all his cultural support there.

Ten years later, this Sunday April 3, we are far from the atmosphere of the great evenings for the penultimate meeting of Anne Hidalgo.

Finished the parterre of artists, only the director and actress Valérie Donzelli takes the floor to support the socialist candidate.

Determined as on the first day, despite this horribilis campaign, Anne Hidalgo assures that "nothing is played", and hopes in particular for a return of left-wing voters who have turned away from the PS.

Too bad if the surveys of the intention to vote now give it below 3%, the activists risk shouting “Hidalgo president, Hidalgo president”.

The candidate denounces these "partial, biased polls" triggering boos.

"We don't whistle, we vote," she intimates, repeating this slogan several times in her speech.

In the front rows, the mayor of Lille Martine Aubry and the former Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve came to lend their support.

Macron, privileged target

After spending long minutes talking about the capital (a sign that she soon sees herself back in Parisian business?), the candidate gets to the heart of the matter and attacks Emmanuel Macron.

“He had promised to reduce the extreme right, there is no longer one, but two,” she denounces.

“Who reduced the ISF (wealth tax)?

(….) Who capped labor compensation?

Who reduced the APL?

Who wants to force RSA recipients to work for less than the minimum wage?

» Hidalgo launches again, the room answering him in echo « It's him!

“He wanted to practice passing right and left, but he practices passing right by right,” she adds.

Before speaking directly to these left-wing voters tempted to vote for the outgoing president.

“Measure the consequences of this vote (…), join your family of origin, give them the chance to carry humanist values.

»

And to insist: “You may be saying to yourself, why go back to a left which, in any case, would pass its turn?

(…) because Macron is on the right!

It is a simple and obvious reality.
