During the "Clean Karlsfeld Campaign" the helpers of the Karlsfeld fire brigade suddenly became lifesavers.
A helpless, younger squirrel was spotted on the side of the road.
The “Clean Karlsfeld Campaign” became a “Winter Karlsfeld Campaign” on Saturday.
The many hundreds of helpers had to wrap up warm and start the Ramadama work.
The Karlsfeld fire brigade took part in the action with around 30 women and men (photo on the right).
And the Florian disciples suddenly became lifesavers.
A helpless, younger squirrel was spotted on the roadside on the snow cover.
The little rodent was severely hypothermic and was unceremoniously wrapped in warm blankets by the firefighters and warmed up in the car.
Then the little one was taken to the Dachau animal shelter to be pampered.
Feedback soon came from there: "Thank you very much for taking care, the squirrel child urgently needed help!" This year, the members of the fire brigade were out and about in three groups at the Moosgraben, the Bachweg, the Augustenfelder Weg and the Schwarzholzl nature reserve for Ramadama.
In addition to many Karlsfeld residents who set off alone to clear the municipal area of rubbish, there were also many groups.
For example, the young competitive gymnasts from TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld (top right).
On Saturday, they sometimes knelt on the snow-covered ground to collect rubbish thrown away by others.
