"For most of my teenage and adult life, my biggest physical insecurity has been my skin," Chiara Ferragni revealed to her 26 million Instagram followers on April 4.
The fashion influencer has dared to reveal her complex in broad daylight by posting several photos of her pimples on the social network.
“I've always had breakouts and acne.
Showing my skin when it was inflamed was a trigger [of this insecurity] for me, ”says the Italian in the caption of her publication, in which she shows her face very closely, with and without makeup.
The pressure to be “perfect”
These photos date from the end of March 2022, when Chiara Ferragni and her family were going through a difficult ordeal, the husband of the influencer, the rapper Fedez, having been operated on for a tumor in the pancreas: “The day we finally got out of the hospital, got a really bad rash on the right side of my chin - I blame my hormones + obviously super high stress,” she says today.
“I could have avoided talking about it and showing it but then I thought… why shouldn't I talk about it?

The young mum-of-two then filmed several “unfiltered” videos of herself on her Instagram stories, reiterating the same message.

The 34-year-old content creator says she found a solution to controlling her acne as an adult: "Over the past six years, my skin has changed and improved so much," she says.
