Ideological vector
This third mention of an "
other
" genre was denounced by the association of "
Jurists for Children
" in a press release on Friday.
“
It is in fact inadmissible that an English test should be the occasion and the pretext to convey to young college students an ideology calling into question the binarity of the sexes and the existence of two sexes, man or woman, an ideology without the slightest scientific foundation and against the evidence as well as the most common experience
”, one can read.
This statement then raised strong reactions, and the ministry revealed that it had also received numerous telephone complaints.
"
Error
" removed by the Ministry
The Ministry of National Education finally withdrew the choice "
other
", considering that it was "
an error
".
Contacted by Le
Figaro
, the ministry justified itself by specifying that the test was taking place on the platform of the France Éducation International foundation.
In this case, the foundation in question is under the supervision of the ministry, and is dependent on it.
Le Figaro
could not reach the foundation for further explanation.
The association of "
Jurists for Children
" then welcomed a decision in "
compliance with reality and French law
", while deploring the confusion caused among some students.
Compulsory test counting for the patent
As part of the "
Modern Languages Plan
", some 800,000 ninth-grade students in France have until April 22 to take the Evalang English exam.
The objective of this test: “
to situate the level of students with regard to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) before they enter second class
”, according to the National Education website.
All ninth-grade students must therefore go to the France Education International platform and answer the Evalang test questions.
It is only at the end of the test that they complete a form attesting to their marital status, in which they were offered three genders: male, female, and other.

Jurists for Children
" invites the government to "
greater vigilance
", with regard to the innocence of the child, his time, and his status as a minority.
"
This event reveals the urgency of preserving young people from the obsessions that certain adults eager for deconstruction want to impose
on them ", warns the press release.
