The brass bands were only allowed to play in a small cast because of Corona.

Now they are back in full cast.

The TTT relies on the personal responsibility of the visitors at the concerts.

It's getting up again: With the relaxation of the Corona rules, the bands are starting the brass band season - and without any mandatory restrictions.

But it remains with appeals to let reason prevail even without regulations.

Tegernseer Tal - access rules, upper limits for visitors, compulsory masks: all of this has been a thing of the past since yesterday, Sunday.

The brass bands around Lake Tegernsee are also allowed to play at full strength again and in front of a larger audience.

The first fanfare in months will ring out on Easter Sunday, April 17th.

With all the joy about the return to normality: Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH (TTT) wants to remain cautious.

On posters, she appeals to visitors to continue to wear masks, to keep their distance and to comply with the hygiene rules.

"We hope that our guests will take personal responsibility," says Peter Rie, TTT event manager.

In view of the still very high number of infections, one would wish at the TTT that guests and locals would not immediately drop all covers and all precautionary measures.

Tourismus GmbH has therefore designed uniform posters that are attached to public meeting and concert venues such as the Rottach Kurgarten and on the Wiesseer Seepromenade and ask visitors to voluntarily wear an FFP2 mask or a medical face mask.

The same applies to entering the tourist information.

"I believe that the majority of visitors will continue to do so," says Rie.

Brass band concerts until the beginning of October

The event of the brass music concerts, which will always take place alternately on the Wiesseer lake promenade, in the Rottacher Kurpark, at the music pavilion in Tegernsee, in the Kreuther Kurpavillon and on the lake shore in Gmund, will definitely be much easier.

A comprehensive hygiene concept, as was necessary in the past two summer seasons, is not needed this year.

The registration of visitors for contact tracking is also no longer necessary.

"That's a major relief."

The brass bands themselves are also going back to old habits. Unlike in the past two years, they are allowed to rehearse and play in full again.

Kapellmeister Hans Weber, who sets the pace both in Bad Wiessee and in Rottach-Egern, is pleased that the concert season can start on time this year.

Even if the lead time for the musicians is very short.

"We've only just started rehearsals," reports Weber.

Because of the high incidence, gatherings of the chapels have been difficult so far.

Nevertheless, Weber is convinced that nothing stands in the way of a well-sounding start to the season: "We'll manage that." After all, he can fall back on his tried-and-tested regular cast in both bands.

The first concert is on Easter Sunday

The first concert date is on Easter Sunday, April 17th.

From 7.30 p.m. the musicians will play in the Tegernsee Baroque Hall.

The following day, on Easter Monday, a concert in Bad Wiessee on the lake promenade is on the program from 3 p.m.

The regular performances under the title "Blasmusik am See" will start in May.

The additional concerts of the salon orchestra are always planned for Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons in Bad Wiessee.

As usual, all events will only take place outdoors and will be canceled if the weather is unfavorable.

And how will the planning for the lake and forest festival season continue given that most of the corona restrictions have been lifted?

"After Easter we will tackle the topic in concrete terms," assures Rie.

The first dates for the Seefest preliminary meetings in Rottach-Egern and Tegernsee are already set.

According to Rie, there will be an information appointment for the association boards at the end of April when it comes to forest festivals.

"The clubs can ask specific questions about how to properly position themselves for the festivals despite Corona."
