Businessman Ethan Wertheimer passed away at the age of 70. Wertheimer was dealing with a serious illness, leaving behind a wife, five children, six grandchildren, a father, two sisters and a brother.
Wertheimer was known as one of the most successful businessmen in Israel and also did a lot of philanthropic work.

Businessman Ethan Wertheimer passed away today (Monday) at the age of 70 after dealing with a serious illness.
Wertheimer left behind, a wife, five children, six grandchildren, a father, two sisters and a brother.
Wertheimer is considered one of the pioneers of industry in Israel, known as a gifted industrialist and entrepreneur and as one of the most successful businessmen in Israel.
During his lifetime, he founded the businessman and praised a number of companies, including Iscar, and led the sale of IMC to the American tycoon Warren Buffett.
Wertheimer also devoted many resources to philanthropic activities.
The businessman was a partner in the establishment of the "Atidim" program, which aims to integrate outstanding young people from the periphery into institutions of higher education, and also established the "South-North" Business Foundation to grow economic activity in the north and south of the country.
For the Atidim program, he received an honorary doctorate from the Technion.
Eitan's funeral will take place tomorrow at 12:00 in the Caesarea Cemetery.
