"Hallberg & Goldach Grillt" was set up almost overnight.

The result of the fundraiser for Ukraine exceeded all expectations.

Hallbergmoo

s – “Thanks to this campaign, 25,500 euros ended up in the donation pot.

The money has now been handed over to representatives of Helferschwein eV.

Mike Hora, Christian Schirsch and the many people who worked hard for the campaign were – until now – quite camera shy.

When, as reported, hundreds of people flocked to Hallberg Square recently, the organizers deliberately kept a low profile.

“It is an action by citizens.

Nobody wants to push themselves to the fore,” Hora had emphasized again and again.

Now that the donations received have been counted, the string pullers then made an appearance: to hand over the proud donation sum of 25,500 euros to the helper pig eV.

2,000 euros of this will remain in Hallbergmoos to support local Ukrainian children's leisure activities.

“We bring what is needed in a targeted manner”

While the next 40-ton truck is on its way to the Ukraine, packed to the brim with baby food, groceries, sleeping pads, sleeping bags and other urgently needed relief supplies, the Open9 clubhouse in Eichenried took some time to catch its breath and say thank you.

Also present were the prominent club representatives: actor and cabaret artist Markus Langer, singer-songwriter Roland Hefter and the tireless "engine" Harry Hoyler.

Together with Hoyler, Langer founded “Helferschwein eV”.

The association is involved in many social projects - be it for children with cancer, "Lichtblick Hasenbergl" or flood victims.

The current focus is on aid to Ukraine.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

"We bring what is needed in a targeted manner," says Hoyler.

The truck also has 250 power banks on board to enable people to communicate.

Langer says what unites everyone: "Don't think twice, just do it!" And he adds: "You can be sure that the help will get there." Schirsch was also full of praise for everyone involved: "Everyone did, done and tackled.

Even the clean up went smoothly.

After an hour everything was done.”

For seven hours, sausages were grilled, waffles were baked and 2000 raffle prizes were distributed among the people in return for a donation.

The helpers took turns.

"The only thing nobody really wanted to swap for was the hot grill," says Christian Straub from the Brüderei with a wink.

Finally, the organizers thanked all sponsors, active helpers and donors.
