The surprising onset of winter could not stop the Kirchheim boys, the new dirndl club "Feirige Herzn" or the brass band: together they accompanied the maypole to the guard hut.

Kirchheim

– The 37 meter long spruce was donated by Rosa Huber from the butcher shop of the same name in Kirchheim.

The tree was felled and shaved in December in the forest and has been drying there ever since.

Now he was accompanied by the 50 boys of the "Kirchheimer Burschenverein", the brass band Kirchheim and the "Feirigen Herzn" from the village square in Kirchheim to the guard hut at the Wertstoffhoff.

There it is now planed, painted and varnished.

And guarded.

First big appearance for the dirndl club "Feirige Herzn"

The association “Feirige Herzn” had its first big appearance.

"We were founded at the end of 2021 and are now 24 girls from Kirchheim and Heimstetten," says Chairwoman Alexandra Fuchs.

For many years, the boys were simply accompanied at their events, "now we wanted to create something independent".

Chairwoman Alexandra Fuchs and her dirndls have big plans

There are no uniform dirndls yet, the fabrics are supposed to arrive this week and then they will be sewn.

There is no clubhouse or website yet.

“We still arrange to meet by phone or via Facebook.

We want to show up with our own stand and in uniform clothing at the latest at the village festival,” promises Fuchs.

The young ladies are already fully involved in the boys' maypole guard.

In the boys' maypole guard hut, the Feirigen Herzn have already taken over the "warm-up event", "Night on Fire" was the name of the well-attended event.

From now on, a further 29 parties and events are planned in the large guard hut on the maypole: morning pint, margarita night, spareribs, beer pong, Goassmass, Kesselfleisch or Leberkassassaker are just a few of them, before the tree reopens on Sunday, May 1st, from 10 a.m transported back to the village square and set up there.

The neighbors from the Heimstetten community also set up their tree

"This year it's our turn with the maypole, the Hoaschdenger would have done it last year.

So this year we have two maypoles in town, but in Heimstetten everything will be a month later," says Florian Reichart from the boys.
