Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that her country is insisting on a UN Security Council convening on the Bucha massacre in Ukraine, after Britain refused to do so, declaring that Russia would resubmit a request to convene the council in this regard.

"In the worst English tradition, the British representative in the UN Security Council did not agree to hold a council meeting on the situation in Bucha, and today Russia will demand once again the convening of the Security Council regarding the criminal provocations of the Ukrainian army and extremists in this," Zakharova said in a comment posted on her private account on Telegram. The Ukrainian authorities and media had previously published a video clip allegedly filmed in the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region and showing the spread of the dead bodies on the road. While Ukrainian forces round-the-clock bombarded the southern outskirts of the city, including residential areas, with heavy tank artillery and multiple missile launch systems.
