Only 18% of the public trust the meat of Amar Bar-Lev, according to data published today (Monday) by the Israeli Voice Index of the Israel Democracy Institute.

The lack of confidence in meat for internal security is due to its much public criticism it has recently gained due to its remarks regarding the current wave of terrorism.

A segmentation of the sample of Jews by political camp shows that in all three camps there is only a minority that has confidence in the minister, in addition to the fact that there are considerable differences between the camps (left - 40%, center - 33%, right - 11%).

The data also show that 85% of Jews believe that the penalties imposed by the courts for carrying out terrorist attacks are too light, compared with only 22% of Arabs.

An examination of the Jewish public by camps shows that in the three camps there is a large majority for this, on the left (62%) and also in the center and on the right (81% and 91%, respectively).

Regarding the level of trust in the Shin Bet, 67% of the public have confidence in the organization, most of whose figures are even higher among the three political camps in the Jewish sample (80.5% on the left, 81% in the center and 73% on the right). Personal security, a higher figure than among Jews - which stands at 63.5% of them. In general, women report more personal insecurity than men: 74% of women compared to 54% of the Jewish public, and 87% of women compared to 78% of men in the Arab public).

Regarding support for terrorist attacks, 40% of Jews believe that only a minority of the Arab public in Israel supports terrorist attacks, compared with 31% of those who believe that the majority of Arabs support terrorist attacks.

This is compared to a large majority of Arabs (77%) who think that only a minority supports it.

The data also show that 58.5% estimate that only a minority of Jews support acts of revenge, compared with 37% among Arabs.

Also, 78% of Jews agree that in the fight against terrorism there is no room for moral considerations and all means can be used to prevent terrorist attacks, and only a minority do not agree to this (19%).
