Plastic paintings whose artistic styles varied between realistic expressionism, abstract expressionism and modern realism, included in the art exhibition “Afaqs” held by the Fine Artists Union branch in the studio of the plastic artist Dr. Issam Abu Asli in the city of As-Suwayda.
Plastic artist Abdullah Abu Asali, one of the participants in the exhibition, pointed out to SANA that the exhibition combined three artistic schools, where each artist, through his art school and the style of his paintings, presented an overview of Syrian formation in general and formation in As-Suwayda Governorate in particular.
On his distinguished artistic experience, he explained that it is based on simplification and authorship of nature scenes and the selected scenes worthy of photography and painting.
In turn, the plastic artist, Dr. Essam Abu Asli, explained that he derives his works from his sense of the things around him and his love for nature and photography since his childhood, diversifying his works between photography and painting with oil, lead and charcoal colors.
For his part, the plastic artist Fouad Abu Saada said: “I work with an expressive abstraction, and I may start with an abstract painting and end with an expressionism, because sometimes people live in two different states at the same time, and there are two or more faces that meet in one person or in a face that carries multiple and different expressions,” considering that this movement gives him diversity. It makes the work dynamic and liberating, spontaneously far from the traditional, but it is not easy at all, according to his expression.
Head of the Syndicate of Fine Artists, artist Hamad Azzam, indicated that the works of each of the three participating artists belong to an art school he chose and worked on.
Azzam stopped at the participation of the artist Fouad Abu Saada in the exhibition, which achieves an added value
Especially that he comes from Spain, where he has resided since 1987, and has beautiful expressive works, pointing to what was presented in the exhibition by the artist, Dr. Essam Abu Asali, from a group of humanities dealing with human issues and works that focus on nature and belong to the realist school.
The plastic artist Jamal Al-Abbas saw that the exhibition constitutes a message to expand the circle of artistic and aesthetic taste that we desperately need, especially in our Arab region, noting these aesthetic features and the signs they bear of civilizational advancement.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition will continue until the ninth of the month of April.
