“Our planes will be the prettiest of all”: Condor now in a striped look

Condor has dared to come up with a striking new design: the airline's aircraft are now attracting attention with their striped look.
Condor boss Ralf Teckentrup admitted at a press conference that he "first took a deep breath" when he saw the new design for the first time.
"And it took me a few days too," the manager said, according to a report by

"But the more I thought about it and the more I talked about it, the more I understood that it's the right thing for our company."
He then recently announced to

: In future, the airline's machines will "dress" in a striped look, there are five different colors:
yellow, red, blue, green and beige
are intended to represent the "facets of the diversity of Condor guests , the employees and the multitude of opportunities to discover the world with Condor", according to the company in a statement.
Parasols, beach loungers and bath towels, to which the holiday plane brings its guests, also served as inspiration.

, Remo Masala, under whose direction the new brand image was conceived and created, explained
the eye-catching design as follows: "In the design world you have two options: you are very pleasing, then people moan that you haven't changed anything.
Or you're the opposite and then it polarizes and people get a bit of a shock - that's completely normal."
Inside the cabin, however, it should remain "discreet and reserved"
, as Condor boss Teckentrup explained.
The crews' uniforms, such as scarves, ties and pins, are also to be wrapped in the new design.
First Condor flight with a new look goes to Lanzarote
The new brand identity was presented first in Toulouse with the first A330neo, which will take off for Condor in the autumn.
However, the Airbus A321 with the registration D-AIAD is the first Condor aircraft to take to the skies in a new guise on April 5 – the yellow-striped plane is heading towards Lanzarote.
Five more Boeing 757 and Airbus A320/1 aircraft
are to be repainted
in the coming weeks .
These will serve the routes to Mallorca, Greece, Egypt and the Canary Islands in the summer timetable.
