Drug trafficking in the millions: three men arrested

During a raid into large-scale drug trafficking, police investigators searched numerous properties in North Rhine-Westphalia early Tuesday morning and executed three arrest warrants.
Six men and two women are suspected of having traded more than two tons of drugs within about a year, police and prosecutors said.
Dusseldorf – Accordingly, they are said to have earned millions.
A 27-year-old and two 29-year-olds were arrested.
The suspects are accused, among other things, of having traded tons of marijuana, around 50 kilograms of hashish and around 30 kilograms of cocaine between March 2020 and June 2021.
The investigators tracked down the alleged drug dealers via encrypted communication data, so-called encrochat data, it said.
The investigations are therefore still ongoing.
The aim is to enforce so-called asset arrests in the amount of over nine million euros and to secure evidence.

According to the police, they searched 16 residential and commercial buildings in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Leverkusen, Hilden, Leichlingen, Langenfeld, Erkrath, Winterburg, Hillesheim and Jünkerath.
