A large contingent of rescue workers arrived in the Geltinger industrial area on Tuesday morning.

A line was damaged during excavation work in Gelting - and shortly afterwards the sirens wailed: gas alarm in Geretsried.

Things went smoothly.

The reason was a gas alarm in the Gelting district.

The whole thing went smoothly.

According to police, the incident happened around 9 a.m.

During excavation work on an outdoor construction site on Breitenbachstraße, a natural gas pipeline laid underground was slightly damaged.

This resulted in a slight but steady guest exit.

The utility company was able to quickly disconnect the line and thereby prevent further gas leakage.

The line should be repaired on Tuesday.

No one was harmed by the gas leak, and the police emphasized that there was never a specific danger to the general public.

Despite gas alarm in Geretsried: natural gas supply maintained - no danger for residents

The local gas supply was not permanently affected, according to the utility company.

Parts of Breitenbachstrasse were closed to traffic for about half an hour.

Around 30 members of the fire brigade, rescue service and police were deployed.
