After the compulsory Corona break, Kaltenberg is taking off: the knights' tournament will take place again this year.
The largest medieval festival in the world can take place again as usual.
A night of jugglers, a live show, market stalls and jugglers will transform Kaltenberg Castle into a medieval tournament town for three summer weekends.
Without restrictions
"We've never been better prepared than this year," says Markus Wiegand, spokesman for the Kaltenberger Knights' Tournament, with humor after the two-year forced break.
Now the 41st edition of the tournament can finally take place as usual.
"It was and is important to us that we can hold the Kaltenberger Knights' Tournament without restrictions for our audience.
We have very high quality standards that we can only meet in this way," says Wiegand.
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)
When people flock to Kaltenberg again from July 15, 2022, a huge festival will be celebrated at Kaltenberg Castle for three weekends.
“It's been a long journey for everyone involved, the artists, the creative team and our audience.
The relief is even greater now.
I'm sure that we will experience exceptionally atmospheric days at Kaltenberg Castle," says Wiegand.
All of Kaltenberg will cheer, dance and laugh.
The highlight of the Medieval Festival will be the two-hour live show in the arena again this year.
Fast-paced tournament battles are offered, accompanied by special and light effects, epic music and a story that makes you feel excited and suffer.
And of course, the legendary Black Knight must not and will not be missing here.
Other events too
In addition to the Kaltenberg Knights' Tournament, numerous other cultural and leisure events can also take place as usual at Kaltenberg Castle.
A highlight will certainly be the Carmina Burana Cavallo on August 5, 2022.
The performance of the most popular classical piece in the world is not only accompanied by a live orchestra and a live choir, but also by elaborately staged, fascinating horse choreographies in the arena.
