Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz spoke Tuesday evening with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, conveying his wishes to Palestinians on the occasion of Ramadan, according to a statement from his office.
"The Minister of Defense conveyed his wishes to the Palestinian President and the Palestinians for the month of Ramadan,"
the statement said.

This
“holiday season is a time of peace and serenity, not terror,”
he said, as more than 11 people have been killed in anti-Israeli attacks in recent weeks.
Israel will ease restrictions on Palestinians during the month of Ramadan
"as long as security stability is maintained,"
the minister said.
Benny Gantz also hailed Abbas' condemnation of the Bnei Brak attack that killed five people on March 22.
“The killing of Palestinian and Israeli civilians only aggravates the situation further,”
said Mahmoud Abbas shortly after, in one of his rare condemnations of an anti-Israeli attack.
