226 retirees benefited from the loans granted by the branch of the General Organization for Social Insurance in As-Suwayda to retirees during the first quarter of the current year.
The director of the Foundation's branch, Nabil Al-Kuntar, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the value of the loans granted amounted to about 255 million and 176 thousand pounds, indicating that he granted them with ceilings of one million pounds instead of the old ceilings of 700 thousand pounds.
Al-Kuntar added that the loan repayment period is either three or five years, according to the desire of the retiree who wishes to obtain it, provided that there is one sponsor from the state’s workers whose service reaches 15 years, or two sponsors whose services total 15 years without the age of the sponsor exceeding 55 years.
Al-Kintar indicated that during the past three months, 403 new pensions were allocated to workers from the public and private sectors by the branch, with the amounts distributed to the beneficiaries through post offices and bank ATMs. In addition, compensation was paid in one payment to 58 workers whose services do not qualify for the pension, and the treatment of 45 work injuries received. to the branch of the institution and pay the dues of its owners.
Last year, the branch of the General Organization for Social Insurance in As-Suwayda granted more than 500 loans to retirees, with a value of more than 418 million Syrian pounds.
