A fire broke out this evening (Wednesday) at the "Al Mukhtar" candy store in Nazareth.
Two crews from the Galilee Landscape Fire and Rescue Station were called to the scene and began firefighting and another search for trapped people.
Black smoke billowed from a one-story building adjacent to other buildings.
Citizens who saw the flames and smoke nearby reported to firefighters, who arrived at the scene and began putting out the fire.
Thus, it prevented its spread to nearby buildings.
Firefighters said the fire had already gripped the part of the store that was built of wood and the fire could have spread to nearby businesses.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames just before grabbing nearby stores.
The circumstances of the fire will be investigated by a flammability investigator.
The fire broke out while the store was closed, during the after-meal, in which the fasts during Ramadan break the fast.
During Ramadan many customers come to confectioneries, bakeries and candy stores in the hours after breaking the fast.
