The asylum accommodation in Kirchheim will remain in place for another ten years.
The permit has been extended.
Kirchheim – Since 2015 there has been accommodation for asylum seekers on Räterstraße in Kirchheim, where 75 refugees are buried.
The district office has now extended the location by ten years.
The responsible department in the district office had applied to the municipality for an indefinite extension of the building permit for the house.
The wooden house stands on a 3,100 square meter property belonging to the Evangelical Church, was built in 2015 and has since been home to 75 asylum seekers, mostly families.
They can be accommodated in 18 four-room apartments and one three-room apartment, which can also accommodate a disabled person.
The evangelical church itself does not currently intend to use the property for church purposes, which is why it has made the property available for the construction of accommodation for asylum seekers.
Without discussion and dissenting votes, the building committee decided to grant the municipal agreement for another ten years, but not indefinitely.
