The Belarus police announced on Wednesday the arrest of four suspects who are said to have "sabotaged" railway facilities.
According to the Belarusian Deputy Interior Minister Gennady Kazakevich, the men were arrested on the night of March 30 and April 1, and the police units used firearms.
Belarus is a close ally of Russia.
Some of the Russian troops came across Belarusian territory when deployed against Ukraine.
Kazakevich said in a video that three suspects were arrested in the Bobruysk region in the center of the country.
The 27 and 28-year-old suspects damaged switch boxes and signaling systems on the railway.
They were injured after "actively resisting" arrest.
The ministry showed a video showing one of the suspects.
His face was swollen and his hands were tied behind his back.
The fourth man, on similar charges, was "seriously injured," Kazakevich said, when he was arrested.
The Belarusian Interior Ministry warned that any action aimed at such sabotage against the Belarusian railway system "with the use of weapons" would be prevented.
According to the Belarusian authorities, "extremist" groups are using Telegram messenger services to call for attacks on the Belarusian railway.
In 2020, Belarus was rocked by protests against President Alexander Lukashenko, which he had crushed.
Since the beginning of the Russian intervention in Ukraine, Belarusian opposition groups have called for the formation of partisan groups and a "rail war" to slow the advance of Russian troops.
On March 30, the independent Belarusian media outlet Serkalo reported that 40 employees of the Belarusian railways had been arrested.
They are suspected of having reached an agreement with a group of opposition railway workers at Telegram.
