Syria condemned in the strongest terms the brutal attacks and repressions carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people, stressing its support for the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and independence, ending the occupation and establishing an independent state on its land with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement today that SANA received a copy of it that the government of the Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the brutal attacks and repressions carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people in various parts of the occupied Palestinian territories, including the settlers’ storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and the restriction of movement worshipers in the holy month of Ramadan.
The ministry added that the arbitrary attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian citizens constitute a crime that contradicts international law, the legitimacy of human rights, international humanitarian law and the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations.
The ministry added that Syria calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people and protect them, implement international legitimacy resolutions related to the Palestinian issue and stop these Israeli crimes immediately.
The ministry concluded its statement by saying that the Syrian Arab Republic stresses its support for the Palestinian people, their right to freedom and independence, ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands, and their right to establish their independent state on their land, with Jerusalem as its capital.
