Ubisoft has announced that its group tactical shooting game Rainbow Six will hit mobile devices as a free downloadable title for Android and iOS devices.
The official website says that the new mobile version will be developed by the Montreal branch of Ubisoft and will take care of preserving the game experience of Rainbow Six Siege available on consoles and PC, which features tactical battles against two teams of 5 on 5 players, with one side tasked and the other Protector.

Just like in Siege, players will be able to choose from eight different characters that are also divided into offensive and defensive, each with special abilities and unique gadgets with which they can gather information about opponents and choose the desired tactic.
The offensive characters that will be available at the launch of the game are Ash, Sledge, Twitch, Thermite and Hibana, and from the defensive side you will find Caveira, Bandit, Smoke, Valkyrie and Mute, and more characters will probably be added in updates and later seasons.

The mobile version will initially introduce two popular and familiar arenas from the console and computer versions: Bank and Border, which will also feature elements in a demolition environment that contribute to the strategy and tactics experience Siege is known for.
The launch date of the game has not yet been announced by Mybisoft, but it allows players to register through its official website and experience the first tests the company is running these days before releasing the game for the general public.

Rainbow Six Siege is not the only online shooting game that has been announced to receive a customized mobile version: EA and Activision have also announced over the months that they are working on mobile versions of Batfield, Apex Legends and Voice of Duty Warzone.
Each of these versions will be fully compatible with the mobile platform and are expected to include different balances, whether it be the abilities of the characters, the weapons or the structure of the map - all in order to adapt the game experience to the control of the touch screens.
