Nine people died and sixteen were injured on Thursday (April 7th) in a violent gas explosion that caused the collapse of a three-story dwelling in Bordj Bou Arreridj, eastern Algeria, national television said. .

Rescuers were looking for possible additional victims under the rubble of this house, blown up by the explosion, local authorities said, adding that neighboring houses had been damaged.

The explosion, which occurred in the morning,
