There will be a curfew again at the Pucher Meer.

The city council repealed the rule last year.

This year there is a ban on top of that.

Fürstenfeldbruck – In the future, using the Pucher Meer will again be prohibited between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The city council decided to change the house rules at its most recent meeting.

The administration had even suggested a longer curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Glass bottles are also banned with immediate effect.

Wild celebrations call for a new ban

The background to the new rules are the difficulties that there were last year with young people partying too much.

Because almost all party locations were closed due to Corona, the city council decided at the time to lift the curfew and give young people a place to party.

But the irritated the offer too much.

Again and again the police or security service had to intervene because of noise or violence.

Youth groups from outside were primarily responsible for this.

The charged atmosphere would also have ensured that the Brucker youth would have avoided the Pucher Meer in the evening and at night, explained Mayor Christian Stangl (Greens).

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)

Then there was the garbage problem.

Pizza boxes, beverage cans and tetra packs lined the Pucher Meer after the nightly parties.

And, what is actually dangerous for the bathers and not just annoying: shards from smashed glass bottles.

Curfew is leverage for the police

This should be the end of the house rules, which have now been tightened again.

The discussion about it was controversial.

While Mayor Erich Raff argued that the curfew now gave the police a lever to evict young people who were out of line, the curfew went too far for others.

Theresa Hannig (Greens) advocated trying out the model without curfew for another year.

The past year was an exceptional situation because of the lockdown.

She was convinced that things would be more relaxed this year.

With instinct

Quirin Droth (Free Voters) was not happy with the new rules either.

Because if the curfew were implemented consistently, those who behave sensibly and calmly would also be affected.

Although the Lord Mayor promised that the security service would act with tact - if you don't cause any trouble during the curfew, you don't need to worry - but he was unable to convince the critics.

Nevertheless, the necessary majority for the decision came about with 27:3.

A previous request by Theresa Hannig to suspend the curfew for another year was rejected by a vote of 20:10.
