The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus arrested 22 drug dealers and users and confiscated quantities of hashish, narcotic pills and heroin between last February and March.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Interior, SANA received a copy of it, the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Damascus between February 8 and March 17 arrested 22 drug dealers and drug users in several places in Damascus and its countryside, and seized 9.34 kilograms of narcotic substances in their possession.
The ministry stated that by investigating the detainees, it was found that one of them had three radio stations against him for the crime of rape of a minor, fraud, fraud, theft and police bulletins for offenses of breach of trust, exposure to public morals and death threats, stressing that efforts are continuing to combat the phenomenon of drug promotion and abuse until the arrest of those involved.
