The Munich carmaker BMW sold fewer cars at the beginning of the year than in the previous year.
Munich – BMW* delivered fewer cars to its customers in the first quarter.
596,907 BMW, Mini* and Rolls-Royce* vehicles mean a decline of 6.2 percent compared to the same period last year, as the group announced on Thursday morning.
However, 2021 was also the best first quarter in the company's history.
For the year as a whole, BMW wants to achieve sales at the previous year's level.
Above all, the Ukraine war and the effects of the corona lockdowns in China had slowed down, according to BMW.
The decline is limited to the core brand, whose sales fell by 7.3 percent to 519,796 vehicles.
Mini was marginally up, Rolls-Royce clearly.
In addition, BMW was able to more than double sales of fully electric vehicles.
