Two people were killed this evening (Thursday) in a shooting attack on Dizengoff Street in central Tel Aviv.

Another 14 were injured in the incident, 4 of them in critical condition, two in moderate condition and the rest were lightly injured.

The attack began around 9:00 PM, when the terrorist opened fire at the passers-by at Ilka Bar.

The terrorist managed to escape through one of the alleys, which led to unusual sightings of more than a thousand police officers in the area.

Special forces searched residential buildings in Tel Aviv in an attempt to locate the terrorist.

Police are calling on the public to lock themselves in homes.

"We were sitting and drinking beer. Suddenly we heard shots everywhere. There was a boom and another boom and another boom, glass started to explode. Just shocking, I did not understand it was an attack," one of the customers, Nathaniel Barkai, told Walla !: "Direction from outside the street. I thought someone was laughing at me. "Only after that did I realize it was an attack. Bullets flew over my head and he kept firing. I did not look back, I hoped not to die and I kept running."

"I was sitting in the living room, suddenly a bundle, a boom of life. The whole neighborhood came out. The policemen go out and run," said Tal Tzur, who lives on Gottlieb Street in the city.

Amit, 25, another young man who was sitting in a bar at the time of the attack: "I was sitting outside here. I was with my back to him. Glass shattered and everyone started running. I stayed last. There were several shots, explosions, glass. Everyone ran inside, shouting 'Come inside, shots' ".
