The Russian company (New Space) is working on a project to develop a new satellite with distinctive characteristics for weather monitoring.
According to information reported by the company's press service, the new Oculus satellite, which is being developed, will be the first of a new Russian group dedicated to monitoring weather conditions around the clock in the Arctic regions and the Northern Sea Route regions.
On the subject, the general manager of the company, Anton Alekseev, said: We have started scientific research work on the new moon project and have passed the idea of the project to a number of Russian government institutions that may benefit in the future from the services of this satellite, whose development takes approximately 4 years.
Alekseev indicated that there is a plan for the moon to operate in space between 5 to 7 years, and it is assumed that at least 3 similar satellites will be built, indicating that the launch of the new set of satellites that are being developed will guarantee Russia to monitor maritime traffic and monitor its facilities and the facilities of the oil and gas industry. .
