Today, Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed Stadium in Homs hosted tests for the selection of sports talents from the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army in the governorate, through the agreement concluded between the General Sports Federation and the Jarih Al-Watan Project.
The coordinator of the Wounded Al-Watan project in Homs, Muhammad Al-Mulhim, said in his statement to SANA’s sports reporter that the wounded were subjected to tests in table tennis, basketball, badminton, athletics and physical strength, and 57 wounded people participated in them, stressing that the tests will be periodic, as they will take place every three months, according to the agreement signed between the Jarih Project. Homeland and the General Sports Federation.
He pointed out that the tests were conducted under the supervision of a specialized committee affiliated to the General Sports Federation with the aim of reaching the wounded, talented and professionals who meet the international standards of private sports federations and providing the necessary support for them to reach professionalism and engaging them in local and global competitions and providing support to the wounded who do not meet those standards and who wish to play sports through the possibility of Attending sports clubs is free of charge under the Jarih Al-Watan card.
