Two people were killed in a shootout in Switzerland.

As the police announced on Thursday, a 38-year-old German should be arrested in Wallisellen near Zurich.

However, he pulled out a gun and fired.

He allegedly fatally hit his companion.

Officers returned fire, injuring the shooter.

Zurich – Despite rescue measures that were initiated immediately, the man and woman died on Wednesday evening, the police said.

The operation was preceded by a kidnapping.

According to investigators, the 38-year-old kidnapped a man a week ago, but released him the same night.
