It is well known that Anthony Modeste from 1. FC Köln cuts a fine figure on the soccer field – but now the FC striker has also impressed as a train driver with KVB.

Cologne – For Anthony Modeste, things could hardly go better in the current Bundesliga season.

After the Frenchman had to go through a difficult time in Cologne for years, he is currently scoring goal after goal for 1. FC Köln, whose fans are logically at his feet again.

Since "Tony", who will be 34 on April 14, is no longer the youngest by soccer standards, it could also be time for him to build up a second source of income after his career.

Possibly as a train driver with the KVB Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe?

At least that's what 24RHEIN reports on.

KVB signs Anthony Modeste from 1. FC Köln as a train driver

The Frenchman can be seen as a driver in the driver's cab of the tram in a new clip of around one and a half minutes by the transport company.

Under the title "Who's taking you to the football festival today", the FC striker can be seen on a "normal" working day as a train driver.

In the morning there is a sandwich in the break room, then the KVB jacket is thrown on - and off to the new workplace.

Of course, "Tony" drives a KVB line 1 in the direction of the RheinEnergie Stadium - and also greets other driver colleagues who are coming towards him in KVB trains.

Just the normal everyday life of a train driver.

Arrived at the stadium, Modeste then reflects on his actual strengths, gets out in football shoes and wears a jersey under the KVB jacket.

Incidentally, all the fun is commented on by long-standing football reporter Uli Potofski, who also works for the pay-TV channel Sky, among other things.

Which makes the short clip, for which the KVB is already celebrated on Facebook by the people of Cologne, even funnier.

Anthony Modeste as a KVB train driver – but Steffen Baumgart needs him for 1. FC Köln

The hope that Anthony Modeste might drive some FC fans to the stadium against Mainz 05 on Saturday should be quickly buried.

In Steffen Baumgart's team, the striker is too important for the billy goats to simply let him go in the direction of KVB.

"Tony" definitely doesn't cut a bad figure as a train driver.
