The general meeting of the Fraunberg fire brigade was well attended.
No wonder, the anticipation of the club's anniversary is great.
The program is already in place.
Fraunberg – The honorary chairman Helmut Haider, who died last year, was remembered with a minute's silence.
Chairman Georg Atzberger was only able to look back on little due to the corona.
The highlights of 2021 included the To Go village festival and the church patronage.
There should be more going on in 2023 with the 150th anniversary from May 17th to 21st.
Mayor Hans Wiesmaier is patron.
He was honored and said: "I'll do my very best." He wished the "oldest self-help organization in the community" every success.
According to a press release, Andreas Neumaier, Albert Daschinger, Raphael Hackl jun., Thomas Daschinger, Tobias Ott, Hubert Pfanzelt, Markus Nettinger, Günther Eschbaumer, Georg Atzberger, Maria Käsmaier, Kai and Cecile von Fraunberg were elected to the festival committee.
It starts on Wednesday, May 17th, with a beer tapping and a Watt or Schafkopf tournament.
The next day, on Ascension Day, a Father's Day celebration with Bavarian entertainment is planned.
On Friday, the district's senior citizens' afternoon for the Fraunberg region will take place, followed by a wine festival with the party band Groove Garage.
On Saturday there will be a cabaret evening with joke world champion Fonse Doppelhammer.
Sunday begins with a festival service.
The surrounding clubs come to the celebration with a delegation of flags.
Commander Thomas Daschinger took stock for 2021. The focus of operations was a traffic accident involving a car near Hainthal and the storm in August with numerous buildings under water.
Because of Corona, you could only practice in small groups with a maximum of ten people, and group leader meetings took place online.
He was pleased about three youth firefighters who were accepted into active service.
Daschinger thanked, among others, youth warden Tobias Ott and Albert Daschinger, who recruited seven young people for the youth fire brigade.
