Is air traffic recovering after the corona pandemic?

There are numerous flights at Bavaria's airports during the Easter holidays.

Munich – Bayern travel more again.

At Munich Airport*, the airlines registered around 13,000 take-offs and landings over the two weeks of the Easter holidays.

That corresponds to about 70 percent of the level over Easter in the pre-Corona year 2019, as a spokesman said.

Busiest days are the Fridays at the beginning and end of the two-week school vacation, with nearly 800 take-offs and landings each.

A total of over 1,200 departures will take place during the holidays to Amsterdam, Barcelona, ​​Istanbul, Lisbon, London, Milan, Madrid, Paris and Rome.

At Nuremberg Airport*, too, the Bavarian Easter holidays are characterized by a further recovery in air traffic.

“Around 150,000 passengers are expected during the holidays.

The airport is thus building on the level before the pandemic," said the airport company.

More than 1200 take-offs and landings by 15 different airlines are planned.

The busiest day is expected to be Friday, April 22nd, with 42 departures.

Destination number one for holidaymakers from Nuremberg is also Mallorca with up to 87 departures, followed by Antalya in Turkey with up to 61 departures.
