The DFB sports court has rejected Freiburg's appeal against the 1: 4 against Bayern.

There was no culpable offense to be proven for the people of Munich.

Instead, the court reprimands the referee team.

Freiburg coach Christian Streich is annoyed by the criticism of his club.

Frankfurt/Main – Christian Streich was pretty angry – Julian Nagelsmann tried to calm things down a bit.

FC Bayern's 4-1 victory in the Bundesliga game at SC Freiburg remains intact despite the mistake made by the league leaders.

The German Football Association (DFB) announced this decision by its sports court on Friday.

Streich was not really annoyed that SC's protest against the game rating had been rejected.

Very well the accompanying circumstances.

The 56-year-old vehemently defended himself against the criticism of the people of Baden for their actions.

Nagelsmann was also allowed to feel addressed by this.

The SC will not lodge any further appeals against the verdict.

"The only way you had to go because it was pushed to us, so to speak, because of this legal uncertainty, was to raise an objection," said Streich.

Bayern played 12 for a few seconds in last Saturday's game as a result of a mistake made in substitution.

The people of Freiburg protested against the game rating on Monday evening, as the club was formally in an active role in having the processes legally checked.

Munich coach Nagelsmann had criticized this approach by Breisgau.

According to the sports court, Bayern was not to blame for “the culpable use of a player who was not eligible to play”.

There is therefore no reason for denial of victory.

Rather, a serious misconduct by referee Christian Dingert and his team is the cause of the mistake.

The participation of Bayern in the exchange chaos "is not sufficient from the point of view of proportionality to justify the serious legal consequences of a game revaluation," said Stephan Oberholz, the chairman of the sports court.

The referee team was "culpable for failing to fulfill its duties in several respects," added Oberholz.

The present case is also not comparable with the mistake made by VfL Wolfsburg, who illegally brought a sixth substitute into the game in the DFB Cup at Preussen Münster.

VfL was then stripped of victory.

The Bavarians reacted with delight to the DFB verdict on Friday.

"We are pleased about this decision, which has confirmed our view," said CEO Oliver Kahn at the request of the German Press Agency.

The people of Freiburg accepted it.

"Because we are sports people," as Streich emphasized.

However, the SC coach expressly wished that there would be "other procedural regulations" in the future.

Then you could say, "it still had something good".

Expert: Freiburg has little chance of success on appeal

The legal system of the DFB forced the people of Breisgau into an active role, which they said was "extremely uncomfortable".

“It cannot be that there are three parties.

Two make a mistake, not a minor mistake.

Which isn't bad at all.

Everybody makes mistakes.

I make mistakes too.

And afterwards the third party is the one who is then pilloried by certain people, sometimes by those who made the mistakes.

This is an absolute nonsense.

We heard that very carefully, says Streich.

The duty of loyalty and personal liability forced the SC board members to act, stressed Freiburg's coach.

"All of these points were obviously not taken into account by some or they did not understand what it is all about."

Bayern coach Nagelsmann had initially criticized SC from his personal feelings.

On Friday he commented: "It is important to me in this whole issue that I am in no way disappointed with SC Freiburg or Christian Streich.

I'm not angry with Christian Streich that they did it."

Before he is disappointed in someone, "other things have to happen that go far beyond the professional and not challenging a game," said the 34-year-old.

"I still think Christian Streich is outstanding as a guy and as a coach.

This challenge to the result of the game has not changed that.”

Before the start of the 29th match day, Bayern were still nine points ahead of pursuers Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table.

Freiburg occupies fifth place, which entitles them to participate in the Europa League - three points behind RB Leipzig in fourth place in the Champions League and one point ahead of sixth-placed TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

"As RB coach and direct neighbor in the table, I wear RB glasses, so you know how I think," said Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco.

"But I also understand the other party because of the legal issues." dpa
