It works even better together.

A networking meeting of “Schools without Racism – Schools with Courage” recently took place in the Freising district.
A total of ten schools participated.
On the initiative of Barbara Berger, Managing Director of the Freising Education Region, and Silke Hatzinger from Camerloher-Gymnasium Freising,
a networking meeting of "Schools without Racism - Schools with Courage"
took place in the Freising district.
"School without racism": Karl-Meichelbeck-Realschule will soon be there
The title
"School without Racism - School with Courage"
is a self-commitment to actively fight against discrimination, especially racism.
This means that when there is violence and discrimination at school, the students and teachers do not look the other way, but actively deal with the situation.
A total of ten schools in the district are currently committed to this “culture of looking”.
While the elementary and middle school in Neustift has been a Courage school since 2016 and has regularly carried out projects for respectful cooperation since then, other schools, such as the Karl-Meichelbeck-Realschule Freising, are in the process of joining the network.
“School without racism”: The next networking meeting is already planned
The participants of the event exchanged views on how the topic is institutionalized in the respective schools and which projects are planned.
It was also suggested that the pupils of the Courage Schools should network with each other and a joint action next year.
Everyone agreed that regular exchange was desirable and that networking was very valuable.
The fact that the meeting took place during the international week against racism is just as fitting as this year's motto "show attitude", summarized Berger.
"Other schools in the district are welcome to join the network of Courage schools," said the managing director of the educational region.
The next networking meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 11 at 2 p.m.
