The death toll from floods caused by torrential rains in the province of Antioquia, Colombia, has risen to 12.
A previous toll had stated that ten people were killed and ten others were injured.
"A torrent of mud surprised the miners in their camp, killing 12 of them, and two people are still missing," the mayor of Abriaki in Antioquia province, Hector Origo, told AFP.
According to the local relief crews, the disaster was caused by a sudden flood of a river in the mountainous region, and due to the prevailing weather conditions, the crews suspended their efforts to find the missing.
14 people were killed and dozens injured last February as a result of a landslide that was also caused by torrential rains in central and western Colombia.
