The Russian Emergency Service announced today that the total number of refugees from Donetsk, Luhansk and Ukraine who crossed the Russian borders has exceeded 647,000, after more than 21,000 refugees arrived last day.
"In one day, 21,012 people crossed Russia's borders, including 3,701 children, and a total of 674,144 refugees, including 131,033 children," RIA Novosti news agency quoted the source as saying.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the evacuation of 188 people from several countries from the Kherson province in southern Ukraine to Russia.
