A naval battle, a space hotel and the Avengers... From Disneyland to Puy du Fou via Europa-Park and Futuroscope, the amusement parks promise visitors a series of new surprises this season.
Here are the new things to discover in the main amusement parks in 2022.
The Asterix park
Opening April 9
(until November 6, 2022).
The irreducible Parc de l'Oise opens this season after having renovated one of its flagship roller coasters.
The "
Thunder 2 Zeus
" attraction returns with a 30-meter drop, a 90° inclined bump, two high-speed turns, 17
airtimes
(feeling of weightlessness when plunging into the void), two inclined bumps, a luminous tunnel, and new trains whose last carriage is reversed, for a maximum speed of 90km/h.
Still in the test phase, the attraction should open in April.
A parade with Asterix, Obelix, Panoramix, Abraracourcix, Falbala or even Bonnemine arrives in the park from April 9.
Baptized "
Gallic Parade
», it is composed of a Roman tortoise and three new floats on the themes Cleopatra, Caesar and Gaul.

The Puy du Fou
A gigantic imperial galley will emerge from the center of the arena at the end of the “Signe du Triomphe”, the emblematic spectacle of Puy du Fou.

This is the emblematic spectacle of the Vendée park dedicated to the history of France, twice voted "Best amusement park in the world", with chariot races and gladiator fights in a Gallo-Roman stadium welcoming 7000 spectators.
"
The Sign of Triumph
" ends this season with an unprecedented naval battle: a gigantic imperial galley chases the rafts of Gallic prisoners destined for shipwreck.
Will they survive?
For their part, “Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantômes” and “Les Vikings” are accompanied by new voices and music.

Europa Park
"Josefina and her magical journey", the new boat trip on the lake, from which you can admire the castle gardens, water games and an arch of roses.

(until January 15, 2022).
Divided into 18 districts on the theme of European countries, the park located in Rust in Germany, on the edge of the French border, offers a tour of the Old Continent over 95 hectares.
This season, the Austrian district is getting a makeover with several new attractions.
"
Josefina and her magical journey
" offers visitors a boat trip on the lake, from where you can admire the castle gardens, water games and an arch of roses.
A show called “
Viennese Waltzes
” combines water games, lights and music with jets more than 40 meters high propelled by 54 fountains.
Also in Austria, the virtual reality adventure “
Alpenexpress Coastiality
plunges spectators into a soapbox race.

Futuroscope
The park's next show will immerse spectators in a team of tornado chasers in a rotating theater mixing real sets and special effects.
Gloryparis, FUTUROSCOPE Park
Open from February 5
(until August 31).
The first Futuroscope hotel will open on April 28 on the theme of space.
Designed like a spaceship, the establishment will offer 76 rooms for 4 to 5 people, an immersive restaurant and lounge bar.
The park will also inaugurate a new attraction on July 1, 2022, "
Tornado Hunter
", will be a live show in a rotating theater combining real sets and special effects.

In 2022, Mickey's kingdom celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Several novelties will punctuate the year, such as a new night show, new gardens around a renovated Sleeping Beauty castle.
The most anticipated project remains the opening, in the Walt Disney Studio park, of a district dedicated to the superheroes of the Marvel saga, a logical continuation of the new New York hotel.
We still know very little about this new space named
Avengers Campus
, except that it will open in the summer of 2022.
