The storm “Nasim” moved over Bavaria with wind speeds of up to 135 kilometers per hour.

The strongest hurricane gusts were measured on the Zugspitze on Thursday, said an expert from the German Weather Service (DWD).

In the morning, the storm brought many rain showers, especially in the southern part of the Free State.

During the night of Friday, the wind weakened somewhat - but before that there were numerous operations by the fire brigade and police.

According to the police, there were more than 50 fire brigade operations in the Upper Palatinate due to the weather.

Two people were slightly injured by gusts of wind: A man pushing his bike fell in the Regensburg district due to the wind.

An elderly lady in Regensburg was also knocked over by a gust.

The emergency services moved out because of fallen trees, falling branches or blown objects.

In Augsburg, a metal sign blown onto the street by the storm blocked the route of a tram, according to the Fire and Disaster Management Office.

The tram ran over the billboard that had landed on the tracks on Thursday evening and was then unable to continue.

Firefighters and specialists from the transport company had to lift the tram to remove the panel from under the tram.

After checking the underside of the train, it was able to continue its journey.

Nobody was harmed during the accident.

According to the DWD expert, it should also remain stormy in the coming days.

Another low will lead to strong gusts of wind south of the Danube during Friday.

Ortrud: The next storm is already approaching

Thursday and Friday night were stormy in Bavaria.

“Currently, continuous rain is gathering in the south-west.

“At the same time, a new storm will arrive in the south from the afternoon.

His name is Ortrud in Germany, but he has also been given a name internationally: Diego.
