A 16-year-old American girl was killed and two other teens were injured by stray bullets after they were caught in the middle of a school shooting in New York.
The New York Post quoted a state police source as saying that "the girl was killed during a fight that occurred between several people in the University Heights High School area while the students were heading to their homes."
The source explained that the shooting, which is the latest in a series of horrific shootings in which deaths and injuries occurred in the country, took place after the men crossed the road and got into a fight before one of them started shooting.
In recent years, various American cities and states have witnessed a significant increase in the number of shootings and incidents, for various reasons and causes, resulting in many deaths and injuries.
