Moosburg
- A tragic accident shook the still young motorcycle season in Moosburg: early Thursday evening there was a serious traffic accident between a young biker from the Freising district and a motorist from Moosburg.
As reported by the local police, the 24-year-old was driving his Triumph machine out of town at around 6:05 p.m. on state road 2350 – the former B11.
At the same time, a 53-year-old driver apparently wanted to turn left onto St2350 from Burgermühlstraße.
"However, the Opel driver overlooked the approaching motorcycle with right of way and was no longer able to prevent a collision," writes the police in their nightly report.

The motorcyclist's impact was so violent that the 24-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries.
As reported by the police, first responders immediately began resuscitation measures to save his life.
But both the courageous intervention and the deployment of the professional rescue workers, who rushed to the scene of the accident a little later, were unsuccessful: the young man succumbed to his severe injuries on the spot.
The Opel driver suffered a severe shock and was taken to a hospital by the ambulance service with minor injuries.
