Garage burns out completely: resident is injured while extinguishing

A garage in a residential and commercial building in the Jakobneuharting district of Frauenneuharting was completely burned out.
One resident was injured attempting to extinguish the fire.

- In the night from Friday to Saturday, April 9th, around 2 a.m., there was a fire in a garage of a residential/commercial building.
This was announced by the Ebersberg police in the morning.
Fortunately, a member of the Jakobneuharting volunteer fire brigade, who came home at that time, noticed the heavy smoke coming from the garage on the main street.

He immediately informed the rescue control center and woke up the residents, who were able to leave the house.
One resident suffered minor smoke inhalation and a skin abrasion while attempting to extinguish the blaze.
However, he only had to be treated on site.
The garage burned out completely, the property damage is likely to be in the lower five-digit range.
The fire brigade was able to prevent the flames from spreading to the second garage and an adjacent transformer station as well as the building.
The fire brigades from Frauenneuharting, Aßling and the district fire inspection with about 45 emergency services were deployed on site, as well as two RTW of the BRK.
The Ebersberg police have started investigating the cause of the fire.
