Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) has tested positive for the corona virus.
He announced this himself on Twitter on Saturday.
He therefore had to cancel a trip to the Gulf region planned for the coming days.
"Now, after two years, it got me," Söder wrote.
In the run-up to his trip, a PCR test was positive on Saturday.
'Although I've had rapid tests twice a day all week - always negative.
The last one even this morning.”
"By the way, the value of the PCR test is such that infection has so far been extremely unlikely," he continued.
“Nevertheless, it's time to go into isolation.
Unfortunately, the trip abroad has been canceled.«
Actually, Söder would have wanted to go on a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
