The Mexican Foreign Ministry reported in a statement that a legal proceeding in Qatar against Paola Schietekat, a Mexican woman who was attacked by a man in that country in June 2021, concluded favorably. However, after denouncing her aggressor and after he alleged that they were a sentimental couple, the Qatari justice considered that the man and Schietekat lived together and, therefore, accused her of the crime of coexistence outside of marriage.
